We were all hoping that his new Robin Hood blinkers would bring him some luck and he clearly ran up to his new mark with an excellent performance under a great ride from his new partner David Nolan.
David was singing his praises after the race and it will be no surprise if he gets his head in front on grass in the near future.
Boycie is an incredibly versatile horse and has run well on all sorts of tracks and going clocking up an amazingly consistent record of having won or been placed in 20 of his 38 runs.
