It promises to be a busy few days for our owners as we have a stable visit on Saturday followed by a visit on the 23rd and 24th of August to the Doncaster yearling sales.
We are hoping that Kevin will be in a position to join us at Doncaster and give us some pointers for when we purchase a young horse, which is something; we hope to do in the near future.
Regarding the stable visit it will be great to watch Poster back on the gallops after her short break and fingers crossed that we will get the rain and be able to run her in at the back end of August.
The stable continue to be in fantastic form and it was great to see Documenting being rewarded after some great runs in big handicaps with a superb victory in one of the feature races at Newbury last Saturday.
ITV covered the race and it was good to see Kevin and his staff receiving the praise and exposure for all of their skill and hard work.
Documenting is a great advertisement for a syndicate horse; purchased by Kevin for the sum of £1000 this amazing horse has since amassed over £152,000 in prize money.
Poster was purchased for us by Kevin for £4k therefore on that basis if you are reading this Kev winning around £600K would be fine!
Kevin was considering retiring The Doc at the end of this season however this is very unlikely to happen now as a niggling little problem at the back end of last season seems to have gone away and the 9 year old has clearly lost none of his enthusiasm for racing and his favorite pastime of cursing and biting everything that moves in his direction back home at Danethorpe that is with the exception of his best friend and mentor Dexter.
