A large contingent of nineteen Robin Hood outlaws/owners family and friends braved the heavy rain at Southwell racecourse on Friday evening and were rewarded with an excellent debut from Oscar (De La Hoya) and then an hour later a victorious performance from their flying grey Kath’s Toyboy who was stepped up in trip and traveled beautifully to win on his debut for the Robin Hood team.
Kathy swept into the winners enclosure with the pomp and attitude of a top racehorse and has certainly been revitalised by our brilliant trainer Kevin Frost.
Special mention and gratitude to Jack Brooks , Lee Topliss, and Lauren Frost for all of their skill, hard work, ad dedication to our horses, along with all of the team at this outstanding training establishment.
The champagne flowed in the Southwell winner’s room where owners were treated to a top commentary from Kevin and several repeats of the race were greeted with rapturous applause.
It was a truly special evening for all concerned and a deserved reward for our wonderful owners.
Kathy will make a quick reappearance at the Nottinghamshire track on Tuesday evening whereas Oscar will be aimed at a race at Doncaster on Friday April 28th.
